I had a total hip replacement six weeks ago and have just returned from a brisk walk - just like the old days! I was impressed with the whole experience at the Wellesley - the caring and straightforward manner of Mr Lusty, the efficient nursing staff and the friendly atmosphere. My hospital stay was just 36 hours. Zoom physio sessions at home helped me to recover well. I would recommend Mr Lusty wholeheartedly.

Mr Lusty has changed my life! I had a total hip replacement on 3rd of October and the removal o f three screws. From day one I was able to walk a little and had very little pain.I am so pleased I took recommendations and chose him to perform the surgery. I saw him a total of 4 times whilst I was in hospital although, I was only in for 2 days! If I needed surgery, in the future, I would want him to do it, I cannot recommend this surgeon highly enough! Thank you Mr Lusty for giving me my active life back.

I can not thank Mr Patrick Lusty enough. I had a total right hip replacement, after many years of being in pain. I have a heart condition which Mr Patrick Lusty consulted with my Cardiologist in order for my operation to take place. He is professional, caring and reassuring at all times. I would like to high recommend him.
I would also like to thank all the staff at the Spire Wellesley.

Having met Mr Patrick Lusty at the Wellesley hospital. From my first meeting he filed me with trust in his ability to remove one internal rod which was implanted in my leg nearly 20yrs ago after an RTA. He told me this would need to come out prior to having a new knee joint of which I haven’t had it done yet. Although I look forward to this as the man fills me with confidence in his ability. I am new to this site, but I must make a comment about Mr.Lusty.After many years of pain he replaced first my right , and eighteen months later my left knees.The last operation being about six years ago.My life is now totally changed. I have been retired approximately four years now ,but I play football again, and go to the gym,also play badminton, all of which Is because of my new knees , with no pain whatsoever. To say that he’s been a lifesaver to me is an understatement. I have recommended him to several others and they have all had the same results. When my knees wear out, I will only want him to do the op again.

I have been a consultant orthopaedic surgeon since 2007. I completed international fellowships specialising in joint replacement and sports medicine surgery. I am an expert in hip and knee surgery.
I specialise in hip and knee surgery. I perform minimally invasive joint replacement surgery, revision (redo) joint replacement surgery of the hip and knee. I also practice soft tissue knee surgery such as arthroscopy (keyhole surgery), and arthroscopic anterior cruciate reconstruction surgery, and meniscal (cartilage) repair and resection.
I have been running a busy consultant practice for over ten years. I have performed more than 2000 primary joint replacements (hips and knees) and more than 200 revision joint replacements (redo hips and knees) on the national joint registry. My outcomes outperform the expected in terms of revision rates on the national joint register and patient function from Amplitude outcome data (from data of over 1000 patients at Spire Wellesley) I perform many knee arthroscopic procedures including anterior cruciate reconstructions.
